Info for Parents
Parents are welcome to visit the center any time. Many parents like to accompany their child on field trips and/or help with special parties and activities throughout the year. Each class has an area for parents to sign-up to help with specific activities.
KCDC realizes parents are very busy people. Information about events is normally presented in 3 or 4 different ways at the center so a child can be a part of all the fun (Monthly newsletter, teacher weekly schedule, notes in children’s cubbies, etc.). There is also a bulletin board located in the gym which gives quick reminders of things that are going on each month. Notes and lesson plans from the teachers are placed in a child’s mailbox or “cubby” to also inform parents of special events. Extra flyers are also made readily available.
KCDC does allow parents to add or substitute days within the same week so a child may be part of all the special events.
